The story of C'Thun is a story of pity. Players threw themselves against the boss for weeks to wow classic gold to no avail. He took a large amount of damage to shoot down until he enraged and promptly murdered everyone, and also the struggle demanded pinpoint positioning from all the raiders. The battle famously had a bug too, which induced ranged tentacles to spawn behind walls directly under players, nearly guaranteeing full bash wipes. After 80 days with no single clear Blizzard eventually nerfed C'Thun to the floor, and he was easily defeated at the same moment.

It is not just the raid as a whole is simpler for the seasoned WoW gamers. Players do triple or even quadruple the quantities of people's DPS back so even a pre-nerf C'Thun would easily fall. It is an issue of the player base is more skilled and educated.
If you take a close look at the damage logs of almost any C'Thun kill right now you can see that is true. You have got players performing between 200 to 300 drops on managers, and since this is Classic WoW you understand they're watching a movie on their second screen while they do it. It's tough to find accurate numbers since most people weren't keeping track of DPS 15 years ago, but according to Minmaxed, it was much less than what we're seeing today:"[There's] a general consensus among individuals who did perform back then is that it was way entire mathematically the mathematically Practicedway entiremathematicallyless.' The idea that pre-nerf C'Thun is too high a damage check is laughable."
PractPracticedised on our own client for several weeks before it went life, developing strategies and getting knowledgeable about the litter and encounters," Minmaxed explained. "I believe most of the guild would have liked C'Thun to be harder, but when speaking about the entire mathematically the mathematicallyPracticedmathematically the impossible C'Thun I do not necessarily believe it was as much about maths as it had been about the experience being bugged with tentacles spawning inside of walls and beaming your raid while being from the line of sight."
Those bugs look like the principal obstacle in the way of Blizzard putting C'Thun to buy classic gold wow in his original form. But here is my pitch: Leave 'em in.
